Six Months Later

Wow, I fail at keeping up with this thing.

For news:

- I'm done with my Acssociate's Degree (in theatre).

- I've worked as Stage Manager for the last production at my previous college. We did Hamlet - by the great Bard.

- Um, I'm working on a Health class this summer (which took two frekin' weeks to come through the mail. It's an online class, but I'm doing the paper version because I don't want to be stuck on a computer all day long.)

- I'm still trying to find a full time job - despite the boost of jobs, it's still hard for ANYONE to find one.

In recent news (don't ask me why I did this) I downloaded the entire soundtrack for Love Never Dies, the current mess that is in London. Sadly it's everything I dreaded it would be. I had to listen to it (by force) in small bursts because it made me so angry. It destroyed everything I love about the original story. (BTW: It's Webber's "sequel" to the greatest Broadway show of all time that really doesn't need one.)

Maybe I just love torturing myself because it was as atrocious and foul as I'd first imagined. At least now I won't have to burn money to see it live, despite all the "re-vamping" it's still getting.

Anywho, on to more pleasant topics.

This summer I am going to be helping backstage at a community theatre. Their putting on the School Edition of my second favorite musical, Les Miserables. I'm so excited to be able to help with this!! It's going to be one of the highlights of my summer.

The other highlight of the summer is going to see The Phantom of the Opera with one of my friends and our mothers. We've got seats twenty-six rows from the stage on the orchestra level! I'm looking forward to that so much.

Thanks for reading my rantings, but then again "What are blogs for?" if not for rantings?
